DESCRIPTION
HMG Unbound 55 - the bigger sibling in the Unbound family, built for the days when you simply have to carry more. Long stretches between resupplies, bulkier shoulder-season kit, shared gear for two – the Unbound 55 swallows it all and still weighs just 819 grams. It is the same completely redesigned platform as the Unbound 40, only with 15 extra litres of usable space.
Where the volume goes. The main compartment is taller and wider at the top – 104 cm of top circumference gives you room for a week of food or a bulky winter quilt, and the roll-top closure rolls the pack back down to a compact shape once the load shrinks. Add the 9 litres of external pockets and nothing has to be strapped on the outside just because it did not fit.
Built to carry it. The exceptionally durable Dyneema® Woven Composite 3.9 keeps the weight at 819 grams (size medium) while adding strength where a heavy pack needs it. Two contoured, removable aluminum stays transfer up to 18 kg onto your hips, wider shoulder straps with a more natural curve around your neck spread the rest, and the refined removable hip belt with the intuitive V-Pull cinch tightens with one easy motion. Internal seam taping and low-profile sewn-in daisy chains keep the construction clean, with no exterior binding to snag or soak.
Trail-proven details. The dual-entry Dyneema stretch mesh front pocket, oversized side pockets you can reach without taking the pack off and the bottom stash pocket keep the day's essentials at hand. The fully removable compression system with shockcord and hook secures trekking poles or oversized bottles – and comes off completely when you want the lightest possible setup. Carry more, feel it less.

NO SPACE WASTED
Nine litres of external pockets on top of the main 55: side bottle pockets you can reach on the move, a dual-entry front pocket and a bottom stash pocket for the layers you keep swapping.
HELP AT THE HIPS
With a full resupply on board, the removable hip belt and two contoured stays move the weight off your shoulders – and the V-Pull cinch tightens with a single, easy motion.
MODULARITY
A big pack rarely stays full. The roll-top and the removable side compression shockcord with an adjustable hook cinch the load down as the food bag shrinks – and come off entirely when you don't need them.
